Quay’s Head Sommelier Daniel Wegener sources our wine from all over Australia, New Zealand and the rest of the world with an emphasis on regional French wines. This is in keeping with the style of chef Peter Gilmore’s food.
Quay offers an impressive selection of wines from major producers to smaller boutique wine makers with quality being of paramount importance. A broad cross section of vintages are also available on wines that demand age before they are ready to drink.
Our on premise climate controlled cellar, ensures that the wine is stored and aged to its maximum potential and enables us to present the wine at the correct temperature to be enjoyed with the cuisine.
Our Head Sommelier Daniel Wegener is new to Quay, returning to Australia after spending two years in London, where he was exposed to a wide variety of French wines and other International wines. He brings this knowledge with him along with his passion for Australian and other New World wines to put together a formidable list for your enjoyment.
The extensive list caters for all tastes and budgets and sommelier Daniel Wegener and his assistants will have no hesitation in helping you pair your food and wine choices together.
