FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

 

1. Do I need to make a booking in advance?
Reservations for Quay’s Return of the Snow Egg with American Express are essential. We anticipate demand for bookings may exceed supply and apologise for any disappointment if you miss out on a reservation.

2. What is the difference between ticket prices and packages?
Each ticket per person includes one Snow Egg with a choice of three pairing options of Charles Heidsieck Champagne, plus a non-alcoholic package. The difference between packages one to three is the level of Champagne included.

PACKAGE ONE: The Snow Egg with a glass of Charles Heidsieck Brut Réserve NV, $98 per person
PACKAGE TWO: The Snow Egg with a glass of Charles Heidsieck Rosé Réserve NV, $136 per person
PACKAGE THREE: The Snow Egg with a glass of Charles Heidsieck Blanc des Millénaires 2007, $175 per person
PACKAGE FOUR: The Snow Egg with a non-alcoholic cocktail, the Bastic: vanilla and cardamom infused feijoa fizz, $98 per person

All prices are per person, with still and sparkling water are also included with all packages.

3. What time can I book?
Limited reservations are available from 6pm, with the last sitting at 9.45pm.
Please note, reservations are 45-minutes in duration.

4. Can you accommodate dietaries?
The Snow Egg is suitable for gluten free and vegetarian dietaries. Due to the nature of the dessert, we unfortunately cannot accommodate any other dietary requirements.

5. Can I purchase additional food and drinks on the night?
The Snow Egg is served as a standalone dish, not in conjunction with Quay’s four-, six-, or eight-course menus.  Each package is inclusive of one glass of Charles Heidsieck Champagne or non-alcoholic cocktail, and still or sparkling water. No other beverages or food will be available to purchase during the experience.

6. What if I need to cancel?
Should you cancel your reservation within 7-days of your booking date, or fail to show for the booking, your payment will become non-refundable. If you cancel before this period, please note the 2.5% processing fee taken at time of booking is non-refundable.

7. What if I am running late for my booking?
We ask you to arrive promptly at your reservation time. Due to the nature of this special evening, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate late arrivals. Please note, each reservation is 45-minutes.

8. How do I find the Green Room at Quay?
The Green Room is Quay’s largest event space, situated on the first floor of the restaurant. When you arrive at Quay, located at Upper Level, Overseas Passenger Terminal, in the Rocks, our team will be there to help direct you inside to the Green Room.

9. What is the best way to get to Quay during Vivid Sydney?
Guests are strongly encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time and use public transport whenever possible, as large crowds are expected to be around the CBD during Vivid Sydney. For further information, please visit Transport NSW’s Vivid Sydney page.

10. Will the Snow Egg return again?
Peter Gilmore’s Snow Egg will return for literally one last time over these ten epic nights in May and June 2024.

11. Is there a waitlist?
A waitlist will become available if reservations become fully booked.
