Quay is honoured to have been named Australia’s top-rated restaurant in June 2024 by Good Food, achieving a near-perfect score of 19/20.
We are thrilled to have left reviewer Callan Boys enchanted by Executive Chef Peter Gilmore’s exquisite menu, with particular praise for our amuse-bouche of seaweed tart (“the most strikingly beautiful thing I’ve eaten all year”); wild Blacklip abalone (“seafood rarely tastes this much of itself”); and bone marrow pasta (“it’s rare you’ll leave without discovering one new vegetable, animal or mineral”).
This recognition comes after Quay retained Three Chef Hats in the 2024 Good Food Guide Awards in October 2023 – an honour we have held for an unprecedented 22 consecutive years.
“It has first-class levels of comfort, and high standards of hospitality – and boy, does it take you places. Chef Peter Gilmore’s six and eight-course menus sails on a sea of umami, navigating rare and extraordinary flavours… Throw in six sommeliers, that view, and an ocean-deep wine list, and this is Sydney’s most treasured dining experience,” commended the Good Food Guide 2024.
Congratulations to our entire team led by Chef Gilmore and thank you to the Good Food Guide, to all our incredible producers and suppliers we are fortunate to work with, and to our lovely guests for choosing to dine with us.
Quay will be open as normal across the Easter long weekend. We look forward to welcoming you to Quay, and
